Business Rates Service Standards
- We will give you full information concerning all non-domestic rate matters.
- We aim to answer 90% of your letters within 5 working days of receipt 100% within 10 working days.
(If for some reason it cannot be resolved within this period you letter will be acknowledged, giving the time period in which a full response will be made).
- 90% of amendments to National Non-Domestic Rate Accounts (vacations,
occupations, valuation, exemptions, reliefs) will be processed within 5 working days.
- We can offer appointments with a named officer on request.
- We provide a direct dial telephone system, which is quicker
and saves you
money. This number will be given on any letters you receive.
- Phones will be covered during normal office opening hours Monday
to Friday
8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
- We aim to respond to emails within 2 working days.
- We aim to answer 90% of telephone calls within 7 seconds and
100% within
15 seconds.
- We aim to issue reminders within 7 to 21 days of a payment being missed.
- We aim to issue refunds of credits within 21 days.
- We aim to investigate properties without a known owner at least
every 12
months.
