Free Fun and Safety Day
An overwhelming 508 people attended the recent safety event at Uckfield Fire Station on 7th April, and 313 attended the event at Hailsham East Children's Centre.
One highlight of the morning was seeing two Councillors and one Wealden manager working out on the Active Place Dance mats!
This partnership project covered personal safety community safety, food hygiene and fire prevention. The event focused on safe play with opportunities to try circus skills, a penalty shoot out, face painting and craft activities.

At the Hailsham event all the free fruit was kindly donated by Waitrose in Vicarage Field, Hailsham. The Uckfield event was kindly donated fruit by Tesco, Bell Farm Road, Uckfield.
