Flexible working space in Crowborough
An exciting opportunity has been presented to the business community in Crowborough and the surrounding area in North Wealden. You can personally help to influence it by spending 5 minutes to complete an online survey.
Crowborough has been selected to develop a flexible working space where business people can drop in, book space and use IT facilities when they need them. The working space is aimed at people working from home, commuters that want a local base or any company that would benefit from access to a shared business working space.
Facilities include: client meeting space, hot-desk space, wi-fi broadband, hi spec colour printer, tele-conferencing and IT support. A facility where people can work with like-minded businesses and individuals in a local professional workspace can save time, money and open up new opportunities.
"A shared and flexible office space could be a fantastic facility for occasional use for many local business people, particularly when you consider there are 4,500 self-employed people within easy travelling distance of Crowborough, and nearly 3000 of them work at or mainly from home,” said Tony Slack, Local Business Network (Crowborough Partnership). “It would supplement their office or room at home to very good effect.”
Councillor Sylvia Tidy, Cabinet Member for Community Development, adds: “This is a significant opportunity for the business community in and around Crowborough to influence the degree of support offered to local businesses.”
The flexible working space is driven by a Partnership of Broadband East Sussex, Crowborough Partnership and Wealden District Council.
