Workshop for budding hoteliers and B&B owners
Wealden District Council and Tourism South East are holding a workshop for people thinking of opening a bed & breakfast, self-catering accommodation or a small hotel. The workshop will be at Uckfield Civic Centre from 9.45am – 3.00pm on Thursday, November 22.
The workshop will cover:
· The realities of running a B&B or self-catering property.
· The legal and regulatory issues to consider when setting up and running a B&B or self catering property.
· The current trends and demand for overnight accommodation in East Sussex.
· How Wealden District Council and Tourism South East can help you start and develop your business.
Cllr. Pam Doodes, Leader, Wealden District Council said “This workshop demonstrates the District Council's support for the development of tourist facilities. Tourism is worth £260 million to Wealden’s economy annually. We want to ensure that new guest accommodation reaches a high standard to maintain Wealden’s excellent reputation with tourists and business visitors.”
