Ask the Leader...

Why doesn't the Council .....? If you have a question about the Council's policies or on matters of local importance, you can now ask the Council Leader, Cllr Pam Doodes.

"The internet offers an efficient, accessible and inexpensive way of communication. It can help raise issues, make comments and give responses. It improves communication and helps make local authorities more accountable,” said Councillor Pam Doodes.

"At Wealden we want to do the very best we can for our customers. Wealden is a great place to live and we are proud of the services we provide but from time to time there may be reasons to comment on our services or question what we do and the Ask the Leader is another convenient method of contacting us.

"I will try to respond within ten working days of receiving a question and then we will post the question and my reply on the Ask the Leader pages of our website."

The Ask the Leader page is listed under the Have your Say section of the Wealden home page. If you do not have internet access at home, you can access the Council's website, for free either at your local library or from one of the Public Information Points situated in stores and inns in many of Wealden's villages.

The Council Leader is unable to answer personal enquiries about particular services such as planning applications, licensing or accommodation. These should be directed to the appropriate department or by emailing info@wealden.gov.uk.
