Learning to Lead

Get your leadership skills up to speed with a spot of accelerated learning.

The next Wealden Business Breakfast on Tuesday 21 October will focus on ways to develop leadership skills in order to improve efficiency and motivation in the workplace.

Aisling Westerdijk from the Sussex company Oddball Training will be taking the breakfast  seminar, entitled Lead by Example with Effective Leadership. Aisling's key clients have included Ericsson, Elektra Oncology, Weetabix and First Choice Holidays.

"Motivating your staff through good leadership is just as important in small companies as in large corporations, but the opportunities to find time to improve your technique is limited," said Cllr Ron Cussons, Cabinet Member Community. "This Wealden breakfast seminar is a must for managers who normally might not be able to find the time or resources for such training in their busy schedules."

The Wealden Business Breakfast on 21 October will be at Herstmonceux Castle and costs £6 including a choice of breakfast - full English or Continental - and drinks.

The event, which runs from 7.30am to 10.30am also features Wealden's Business Regulation Advisor, Gail Fenn, who will give an update on the planned improvements to the www.wealdenbusinesshelp.org.uk website; and there will be opportunities for networking, including the usual Name Exchange table where business cards and brochures are swapped among delegates.

Places are limited to two per company. Please get in touch with Wealden's Economic Development & Tourism Team on 01892 602886 before 8 October to reserve your place.
