Pigeons and Gulls

Each year we get a few complaints about pigeons or gulls creating a mess or noise and on occasion about attacks on people.

Both of these birds are wild and choose freely where they live. We have no control over them and do not carry out culling operations. Gulls in particular are protected and you should obtain professional advice about any culling you might want to carry out.

It is possible to make changes to your home to make it less attractive to gulls and pigeons to roost although in some cases these may require planning consent. A professional pest control contractor will be able to provide further advice on proofing measures.
