Dead animals
What we do:
The Council is responsible for collecting dead animal carcases from highways, lay-bys, bus shelters, subways, council car & coach parks and recycling centres.
Areas we do not cover:
We do not cover motorways, truck roads or private land (this is the land owners responsibility).

What happens if it is a domestic animal?
- The Animal Welfare Officer is notified
- They will scan the animal for a microchip
- If a microchip is found the registered owner is informed
