Litter
Definition
Litter is items such as crisp packets, cigarettes, bags, drinks cans etc that have been dropped in a public place. It is not items such as apples, leaves, twigs or any other bio-degradable matter.
Areas we are responsible for
The Council is responsible to keep highways, lay-bys, bus shelters, subways, council car & coach parks and recycling centres clean.
Areas we do not cover
- Motorways
- Trunk roads
- Private Land - this is the land owners responsibility
