Delivery of the Vision of the Safer Wealden Partnership
Produce a delivery plan based upon the East Sussex annual rolling three year community safety plan which establishes priorities and actions for that period of time.
Regularly monitor progress with the targets specified in the community Safety Plan and the Local Area Agreement.
Undertake regular Strategic Intelligence Assessments, audits and surveys about the levels of crime and the perception of crime and act upon the findings.
The Safer Wealden Partnership is a listening organisation and will draw upon other relevant sources of data which identify issues in the community related to crime and anti-social behaviour.
Build upon the Partnership’s relationship with local communities to establish priorities and provide feedback on progress to those communities.
Receive reports from and continually monitor the effectiveness and actions taken by the Joint Action Group (JAG) and the thematic action groups which focus on specific issues highlighted in the strategy.
Allocate financial resources to projects and initiatives which support the partnerships’ identified priorities in the plans and regularly assess the effectiveness and value for money of those initiatives.
Prepare reports upon request for a variety of agencies which will include the Wealden Local Strategic Partnership, Wealden District Council’s relevant Scrutiny Committees and East Sussex Safer Communities Partnership.
Over and above the Statutory Members, the Partnership will keep under review its membership to ensure that the most effective team is created to deliver the vision and plans.
Continually look for innovative approaches to solving crime and anti-social behaviour problems and evaluate them for use in the Wealden area.
Respond appropriately to Government and other agencies initiatives and national standards.
Work in partnership and a spirit of co-operation with the East Sussex Safer Communities Partnership, specifically attend and contribute to meetings and initiatives.
