Threshold

Threshold is the magazine produced by Wealden District Council's Housing Department for our tenants and leaseholders. We have four editions a year, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Its primary functions are to provide information and to be a vehicle for full consultation. The type of information given is inevitably housing based although we do endeavour to give coverage to other issues which tenants can benefit from such as energy efficiency.

Whilst the Council recognises the Wealden Residents Forum as the primary body for consultation we still use Threshold for full consultation exercises such as introducing new Service Standards, of which we have a series published.

The latest initiative, which is in line with our commitment to offer ever opportunity for tenants to get involved, is to have a tenants section in the magazine where all of the contributions are from tenants with no unreasonable restrictions on content. Our overall aim is to provide a publication which is both informative and enjoyable to read.
