Part-time Planning Officer

Temporary - 6 months

£12,852 - £16,023 + car allowance

18.5 hours per week (days flexible)

based Crowborough

This position offers a challenge to an experienced planning officer looking for a varied caseload of planning applications - Residential, Commercial and some Major Applications, including negotiations and consultations with developers, applicants and agents, attending site inspections and meetings. The successful candidate will prepare proofs of evidence and reports for Committee, attend and sometimes represent the Council at Hearings.

This post requires a relevant degree/diploma in Town and Country Planning and RTPI membership with previous planning experience in a Local Authority or Consultancy background. In addition you will need good IT and communications skills together with an enthusiasm to contribute towards shaping the Wealden of the future whilst conserving the character and natural beauty of the area.
