Vehicle Mechanic

40 hours per week (day shifts)

Amberstone Depot, Hailsham - main base

with requirement to work at Crowborough on rotation

Salary Range: £22,860 to £23,646

You will form part of the in-house team responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles including LGV refuse, street sweeping vehicles, horticultural plant and panel vans.

You will need to be a fully qualified HGV/LGV Vehicle Mechanic to NVQ Level 3 with extensive post qualification experience, working without supervision.

You should be able to demonstrate that you are experienced in servicing and repairing municipal vehicles such as street sweeping vehicles and refuse vehicles with hydraulically powered bodies and bin lifts.

A full current clean LGV class "C" driving licence is essential. You should be capable of lifting up to 20kg maximum and be comfortable working in confined spaces.
