Changes in the Building Regulations have meant that the installation of new windows in subject to control.

Most window installations fall under an industry led system called FENSA. This is where the installers certify to the local building control authority that they have carried out the works in conformity with the Building Regulations.

This means that some installers and DIY installations must make an application to the local building control authority.

NB: You should note that we will issue you with a completion certificate on completion of the works. This document is important as it shows the works are in compliance with the Building Regulations. Failure to obtain this document will likely result in difficulties when the property is being sold or changes in tenancy occur.
