What is the Core Strategy?
A Core Strategy is a visionary Development Plan Document that sets out the key elements of the planning framework for Wealden. It will contain a spatial vision and strategic objectives, a spatial strategy, core policies and a monitoring and implementation framework. The Core Strategy will be Wealden's principal Development Plan Document.
What is the purpose of the Spatial Options Consultation?
The Spatial Development Options document has been published as part of the development of our Core Strategy. The purpose of the consultation is to provide an opportunity for our local communities and other stakeholders to consider a range of development options for Wealden. We invited comments and views before finalising the Core Strategy itself, and submitting this to Government. The consultation was based on six possible strategic spatial housing options and four strategic spatial employment options. The consultation is taking place under Regulation 25 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004, as amended.How to order the Core Strategy Consultation Documents
