Local Development Scheme (LDS)
This document sets out the timetable for the production of the Local Development Framework. It states what the Council will do, and when, and identifies opportunities for public involvement in the preparation of Local Development Documents.
Revision of the LDS in 2009
The LDS was approved by the Government Office for the South East (GOSE) and published in February 2007. Since then there has unfortunately been some delay to the programme shown in the approved LDS and a revised LDS is currently being prepared in consultation with GOSE. At a meeting of the Cabinet LDF Sub-Committee on 23rd October 2009 a new programme was agreed which will be the subject of a further report to Cabinet in March 2010. The proposed timetable for the various development plan documents now proposed is summarised in the table below:
