Why Walk?
Walking is an ideal form of exercise. Regular walking can:
-
Help to increase your confidence, stamina and energy levels
-
Help to reduce stress and can help to reduce blood pressure
-
Help to manage your weight
Current recommendations, by health experts, say that 30 mins a day of moderate activity, such as brisk walking, is the minimum we need for good health.
Brisk walking means that you breathe a little faster then normal but can still carry on a conversation.
If you prefer to walk with other people Exploring East Sussex is a programme of guided/ organised walks co-ordinated by East Sussex County Council.
