There are many funding opportunities available for individuals, clubs and associations seeking to develop sport and community initiatives.
Awards for All
Awards for all is a lottery grants programme aimed at local communities, it awards grants of between £500 and £10,000. Projects can be funded that enable people to participate in art, sport, heritage and community activities. The objectives of projects should aim to extend access and participation, increase skill and creativity, and improve the quality of life. The Awards for All application form is short and simple with guidance notes available. Decisions are made within 8 weeks.

Government funding
Government grants for voluntary and community organisations. It gives details of possible grants from a number of Government Departments including Health; the Home Office; Education and Skills; and Transport, Local Government and the Regions.
One voice for sport and recreation
Website of the Central Council for Physical Recreation, includes a funding source guide.
Lottery good causes
Over £15 billion has been raised so far for the National Lottery's six good causes, supporting over 171,000 projects.
Big lottery fund
The Big Lottery Fund distributes half of the money for good causes from the National Lottery. It replaces the New Opportunities Fund and the Community Fund.
