Advice and Help for Business in Wealden

Better Business for All

Better Business for All is a national scheme run jointly by Regulators in Sussex together with the Sussex Chamber of Commerce and Local Enterprise Partnership Growth Hubs.  It has been set up to encourage business growth by making business regulations easier to access and understand.  It provides a single contact point via the Business East Sussex Growth Hub to access regulatory services advice and support on complying with the law for businesses.

As qualified professionals in their respective fields, the Regulator's expertise is a resource at your disposal.  Some may charge for the services but all will also signpost you towards free sources of general advice if required.  Regulatory areas covered by Better Business for All include:-

  • Environmental Health
  • Trading Standards
  • Licensing
  • Planning
  • Fire Safety

Compliance with regulations helps business growth because:

  • Uncontrolled risks and expensive corrective costs are avoided
  • Your business is better protected and its reputation can be enhanced
  • Regulatory authorities can target their limited resources on businesses that do not follow the rules, creating a level commercial playing field and promoting fair and safe business.

Getting compliance right first time aids success for your business, protection for your customers and enhances Sussex's reputation as a great place to do business.

More information can be found on the Sussex Chamber of Commerce (external link) website or by contacting Business East Sussex on 0844 415 2260 or by email to:  info@businesseastsussex.org.uk
