Thinking of starting a Business?

If you're thinking of starting your own business and need some pre start up advice, the following organisations have qualified business advisors on hand to assist and guide you through the process.

Business East Sussex (external link)

Business East Sussex was launched in July 2015 and the service has engaged with more than 1,100 businesses across the county, providing in depth consultations to more than 450 of them. It is one of 39 government funded Growth Hubs around the country set up to support businesses, and is delivered by Let's Do Business Group on behalf of East Sussex County Council.

Three free hours of impartial advice are on offer for companies from the experienced, friendly Business East Sussex navigators who provide guidance to help companies reach their full potential.

By understanding each business, navigators are able to signpost business owners to exactly the right organisation or person for their needs.  Practical support is available across the board for issues ranging from finance and grants, to mentoring, accounting, distribution, insurance or regulations.
