Public Health Registers

The Environmental Health department hold a number of Public Registers, which can either be viewed online or in person at the Council's reception in Hailsham by appointment.


The following Public Registers can be viewed online:

Licence Register

You can use the Licence Register to search for existing licences, current applications and Temporary Event Notices received in the last 30 days. 

Applications for a Review of a Current Licence

Applications for a Review of an existing Premises Licence or Club Premises Certificate are available for Representation for 28 days.

Gambling Register

You can use the Gambling Register to search for existing permits and current applications.

EPA Permits Register

You can use the EPA Permits Register to search for existing pollution control permits.

Animal Licensing Register

You can view the location of all Animal Licences in Wealden with the exception of our Home Boarders.

Public Register of Cooling Towers (pdf)

Lists all the Cooling Towers in the Wealden area.

In Person 

The following Public Registers can be viewed in person:

  • Registered Food Premises

  • Deposit Plans and Orders within their consultation period

  • Public Footpaths Register

  • Commons Register

  • Village Green Register

  • Open Access Land Register ("Right to Roam")

  • Section 78R(1) Part 2A of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Contaminated Land)


These records can be viewed in person by appointment at Wealden District Council Offices, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 2AX  between 8.30am-5pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 9.00am-5pm Wednesday. To make an appointment, please use the contact details below.
