£35,850 - £39,834 p.a plus car cash allowance

The Housing Service is looking for an enthusiastic Property Services Team Leader to lead a small team and manage the repair, maintenance and improvement of the Council’s housing stock. You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an effective responsive repair and maintenance service, delivering major planned and cyclical work programmes, aids and adaptations to the Council's housing stock and taking the lead on health and safety with regard to compliance of the buildings. We also have some exciting projects in the pipeline including major retirement living refurbishments and a new suite of contracts to procure.

It is essential that you possess a HND in Building or equivalent, with significant experience in all aspects of pre and post contract property surveying and maintenance duties within a social housing environment. You will also have a proven track record in leading and managing a team. Membership of a professional body, or the willingness to study towards membership, is also preferable.

You will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrable ability to encourage good working relationships with colleagues and the public. You will also have well developed project management skills.
