Water supply problems in parts of Wealden

News : 09 March 2018

South East Water report supplies have been restored.

South East Water

 Update: 9  March

South East Water say all customers affected by the recent supply issues continue to have water, although their water may be discoloured or intermittent at times as it continues to find and fix leaks and local storage reservoirs continue to re-fill.

Bottled water stations have now closed and it is working to remove any leftover bottles and static water tanks.

Over the weekend, all customers whose supply was interrupted following the extreme weather will receive a letter with information about compensation and a chance to give South East Water their feedback about the situation.

Don't forget to recycle:

Residents affected by the water shortage should place empty plastic bottles in their recycling bin as usual. If there are too many to go in, they will be collected if placed beside the bin in a suitable container or a non-black bag.

Our thanks to Freedom Leisure for allowing residents affected by the water shortage to use the showers at the Freedom Leisure Centres in Crowborough and Uckfield free of charge. It has been a great help.
