Helpdesk Application FAQs

For help on how to get around the helpdesk web app click the "Help" button in the bottom right of the page.

To add another user to the call click the checkbox on the "Who is this page for?" page.

When selecting a category please chose the area that is most relevant to your call. For example if you have a problem with your monitor please select monitor. If required also select the business system that the problem is with or the desk number relating to the problem.

When selecting an impact please choose based on the number of people affected. If the impact you selected is deemed to be incorrect the call will need to be resubmitted.

To choose a required date click on the date you want to pick on the calendar. The selected date will be highlighted. When choosing date please choose one with respect to the problem. If the date you have selected is deemed to be incorrect the call will need to be resubmitted.

Subjects for calls should be short and to the point. Please choose a subject that explains what the problem is.

The call details section should have as much information about the call as possible. Please include as much detail as you can about the problem.

To attach files to your call click on the "Choose file" button on the "Attachments" page then select a file in the box that pops up. To add another file click on the "Add another file" button. You can add up to 3 files to the call.

To submit your call first complete all the questions then click the "Submit" button on the summary page at the end.

Any errors you encounter will be shown at the top of the page and the field where the error occurred will be highlighted in red and a cross will appear in the box.helpdesk-error

To submit another call when you are finished click on the "Submit another call" button.helpdesk-success
