How to Make Online Payments

There are several ways to make a payment to Wealden District Council.

The easy and safe way to pay - Direct Debit

Setting up a direct debit is the easiest and safest way to pay. No more worries about remembering to pay at the right time, no more writing cheques and posting them and no more queuing to pay. You'll also be protected by the Direct Debit guarantee:

  • No payments will be taken until you have been given 10 days notice of the amounts and due dates and any changes to these, so that you have time to query the bill if necessary;
  • If the Council or your bank or building society make an error, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid; and
  • You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by writing to or emailing the Council or by contacting your bank or building society.
  • Direct Debit is also much cheaper for the Council so you'll be helping to reduce costs and keep Council Tax as low as possible.
