Community Talks

Summary of the project

A close working relationship has been built up over time with many of the local community colleges and primary schools in the district. Talks are given to groups of school students ranging from 6 years old to 18 years old and on a range of topics from food safety (which is the most popular) to health and safety at work, pollution control and the general work of an environmental health practitioner. The talks form part of, and are integrated into parts of the national curriculum.

In addition presentations are also given to a range of community groups on environmental health related topics.
