Preventing disease spreading
We investigate cases so that contacts can be traced and steps taken to prevent the disease spreading. Contact us if you would like to know more or need to report a concern.
Communicable Disease Control
We work closely with the local Consultant in Communicable Disease Control at the East Sussex, Brighton & Hove Primary Care Trust on cases of notifiable disease and other incidents such as Legionnaires' Disease and contribute to national surveillance schemes co-ordinated by the Health Protection Agency (external link).

The Health Protection Agency is an independent body that protects the health and wellbeing of the population. They can offer advice and guidance on the following Infectious Diseases:
