Anti-Social Behaviour
The Council is able to provide advice and information to tenants, residents and any other interested parties affected by anti-social behaviour.
Exchanging Your Home
Your Council Home As a Council Tenant it is possible to exchange your property with either another council tenant or another housing association tenant anywhere in the Country. It is a requirement that you first obtain permission for carrying out the mutual exchange from your landlord.
New Build Council Homes
Changes in housing legislation have given Wealden District Council the opportunity to build the first new Council homes in the district for over 20 years.
Programmed Works of Council Homes
Includes reaching Decent Homes Standards, identifying and programming works required e.g. Windows, Bathroom and Kitchen.

Sheltered Housing for sale
Details of our scheme enabling people with limited capital to purchase on a part rent, part buy basis providing the security of a sheltered environment.
Tenancy and Housing Management
Concerned with signing up new tenants when they are offered a Council property. Enforcing conditions of tenancy including dealing with anti-social behaviour, processing mutual exchange requests and other changes in tenancies. Working with residents and identifying estate improvements.
Unlawful Subletting
When somebody with a Council or housing association home rents it out without permission or obtains a home through providing false information they are unlawfully sub-letting.
Void Properties
The Council has strict targets for the turnaround of void (empty) properties within its stock. Their is a publishable "lettable standards" for minimum requirements before a property is relet. These standards have been reached through residents groups and the housing department working jointly.
Eco Homes Pilot Project
The Eco homes pilot project is to trial new technologies for 'hard to treat homes'.

Tenant Services Authority
On 1st April 2010 the Tenant Service Authority (known as the TSA) became the regulator for Local Authorities bringing with it a common set of standards for housing providers in England.
