CROWN (Composting and Recycling our Waste Now) is a segregated waste collection service that allows residents to compost and recycle a wide range of materials.

The Government has laid out a target of making the UK a Zero Waste Nation, and encourages us to apply the "Three Rs": Reduce, Re-Use and Recycle.
All the materials, except green waste and cardboard, are taken to Wealden District Council's Material Reclamation Facility where they are bulked up for onward transport to Ideal in Kent. The materials are then sorted, baled and sold on to mainly UK reprocessors. The following headings will give more information:
