Child Protection

East Sussex Social Services have a legal duty to protect you if you are a child or young person and are at risk of abuse, whether this is physical, emotional, sexual, discriminatory or through neglect. Find out more information on the East Sussex County Council Child Protection web pages.

ChildLineis a free, confidential 24-hour support line for children and young people. The aim is to provide help and support for any problems young people may encounter. Children and young people can call 0800 1111

Volunteering for ChildLine (external link): Volunteers are the bedrock of Childline's service. They always need more volunteers to speak to children and young people on the helpline, to work with them in schools, and to support their fundraising, administration and management.
