Housing Consultations & Surveys

We feel it's important that you have a chance to have your say about the policies that affect you and we are committed to making consultation a key part of the way in which we plan and deliver our services. This is achieved by carrying out consultations and surveys with tenants, leaseholders, housing applicants and a wide range of other stakeholders in order for us to help improve our services.

Our Consultation Diary will let you find out more about consultations that Wealden is planning or which you are able to have your say on now. It also stores completed consultations from 2009 onwards, so that you can see the results and what suggested improvements we have been able to introduce.

Keep up to date with the latest Housing consultations and Surveys, or view the results from those completed through our Consultation Diary.

Draft Volunteering Policy for Involved Tenants and Leaseholders

This is the first Volunteering Policy for Involved Tenants and Leaseholders and has been developed to recognise that volunteers can make a significant contribution to improving the service we provide and in supporting the communities where our housing is located. It also provides a framework for volunteers and council staff to work within, as well as setting out our approach to encouraging, supporting and rewarding them.

Draft HRA Vulnerable Persons Strategy

This is the first Vulnerable Persons Strategy for the HRA which sets out how the Council will identify, support and refer or sign-post to other agencies vulnerable tenants, future tenants and retirement living leaseholders.

Draft Tenant Reward Scheme

This is the first time that we have produced a Tenant Rewards Scheme. The purpose of the rewards scheme is to two-fold. Firstly to save the HRA money e.g. in terms of reduced void cost. Secondly, to encourage and reward behaviours that we would like to encourage e.g. tenant involvement, completing surveys, signing-up to MyWealden, paying rent by Direct Debit etc.

Please help us by reading the Draft Tenant Reward Scheme and completing the accompanying survey.
