Wealden District Council

Housing Revenue Account Business Plan Update

This update to the original Housing Revenue Account Business Plan 2003-33 (HRA) sets out how Wealden District Council's housing stock are meeting the needs of the Housing Strategy, are continuing to meet the Decent Homes requirement and are meeting customer expectations. The Business Plan financial model has been updated to take account of a number of issues that have developed since the original plan was approved by GOSE in 2004.

The purpose of the HRA Business Plan is to:

  • Underpin and support the long term management of the housing service;
  • Ensure we make best use of available resources;
  • Meet the investment requirements to deliver homes which meet the Government's regulations and our tenants expectations and needs.

Wealden District Council's housing stock is in good condition and it is important that it continues to invest and improve it's accommodation to meet current and future demand. The base financial model in this business plan identifies sufficient resources to meet these aspirations.

The base model includes the requirements of both the sheltered and temporary housing review, in addition to our Decent Home Plus standard.
