 The Big Wealden Switch

Wealden District Council has partnered up with iChoosr to help residents save money on their energy bills by collectively buying energy together. Register online to see how much you could save and join 100's of other Wealden residents who are financially benefiting from this scheme.

The Big Wealden Switch

In 2017 953 households who switched in the Council's Big Wealden Switch 2017 campaign with iChooser enjoyed an average saving of £228 a year on their domestic energy bills. Collectively residents saved £217,549.

How does The Big Switch work?

  1. Register online by going to The Big Switch (external link).  You will need your annual fuel statement or recent energy bills to complete the process.
  2. The collective bargaining power of lots of people like you is used by iChooser to get energy companies to try and under-bid one another to provide you with the cheapest tariff.
  3. iChooser will then contact you by email or letter detailing your personal offer, remember to check your emails after the auction. If you like the offer you can accept and switch to your new supplier which is a fixed price contract for twelve months.

As long as you are the bill payer you can take part regardless of tenancy or meter type.

On average switchers tend to save £200-£300.
