Rural Development Programme for England

LEADER funding
The Wealden and Rother Rural (WARR) Partnership has secured £2.43 million of funding under the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), to spend in rural Wealden and Rother over the next five years, 2009 to 2013.
The LEADER funding programme is aimed at maintaining a sustainable farming and forestry industry, supporting rural businesses, tourism enterprises and helping local rural communities to remain viable.

South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) has also recently launched an additional fund called the Farm Resource Improvement Programme (FRIP). This is a sub programme of RDPE, specifically for farmers, which aims to simplify the application process and will provide grants up to £25,000 per farm business. More information is available on the SEEDA website.
