Bulky household waste collections
Definition
A chargeable service for the removal of large or bulky items from domestic properties.
What we do
Collect unwanted household items from domestic properties.
Provide free quotes for the collection of more than 9 items or unusual items.

What we don't do
- House clearances
- Asbestos
- Builder's waste
- Flammable material
Prices
- Minimum charge is £20 for any 2 items
- Additional items are £6 per item
- Extra large or heavy items are £50.00
Special arrangements and requirements
If the item to be removed is not on the list please contact the Waste Management team on 01892 602735.
- Items should be outside for collection.
- We are not insured to enter the property. We will only enter if we are given permission by the owner on the understanding that we are not liable for any damage to the property.
- Only Items on the list will be collected. Please do not ask the contractor to collect additional items.
- Doors on fridges and freezers must be taped shut.
- Storage Heaters must have the bricks removed before we can collect them.
- Garage doors require a visit before we can make collection arrangements. Please contact us on 01892 602735.
What happens next
- Print out and complete the special collection form (pdf 45.4KB) and return it along with the payment to the Waste Management team.
- We will contact you if you would like to know the day of collection. Please ensure you tick the appointment required box.
- If an appointment is not required the items will be collected within 10 working days. Please ensure items are outside and are accessible.
Payment methods
- Cheques & Postal Orders - made payable to "Wealden District Council"
- Credit or Debit Cards - Visa, Delta, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro (credit card payments will incur a 1.5% surcharge)
