Guided Tours of the Materials Reclamation Facility
- Guided tours of Wealden's facility in Uckfield are available to all schools.
- The facility is used for storing and sorting all materials that are collected for recycling in the district.
- Visitors can see materials being loaded and unloaded, weighed and sorted.
- There is also a purpose built education room at the facility where information sessions and games can take place.
- The guided tours are suitable for both primary and secondary school pupils and last about one hour.
- Up to 30 children at a time can be accommodated at the facility.
