"Prevention is better than cure"
The law requires that owners ensure that their dog wears a collar and tag in a public place. The tag should have inscribed on it the owner's surname, address and where possible a telephone number. You may consider having your dog microchipped but this is not a legal requirement.
REMEMBER - If you lose your dog it will cost you £67.00 plus kennelling charges to recover it from the Council's kennels
