Strategy
The Crime and Disorder Act of 1998 requires the Safer Wealden Partnership (SWP) to undertake a local audit of crime once every three years and produce a strategy to reduce crime and disorder. As a result 6 Action Groups have been set up which concentrate on specific areas of crime. These are:
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Domestic Violence
- Drug & Substance Misuse
- Hate Crime (racist and homophobic crime)
- Property Crime (vehicle crime and burglaries)
- Public Place Violent Crime (wounding, criminal damage)
