The Policy and Development section is primarily responsible for the preparation of planning policy documents for the District.
LDF Core Strategy Spatial Development Options Consultation
The Council has published its Core Strategy Spatial Development Options document for public consultation. The document sets out our vision and strategic aims, and proposes a number of possible alternative spatial development strategies for Wealden. The consultation took place between 6th July and 28th August 2009. Comments submitted can be viewed online (external link). Local Development Framework
Information regarding the progress of the Local Development Framework, including the Core Strategy, Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD), Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), the Local Development Scheme (LDS) and the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR).
Local Plan
Information concerning the current planning guidance that has been prepared by this Council, which includes the Adopted Wealden Local Plan 1998 and the Non-Statutory Wealden Local Plan 2005.
South East Plan
The Secretary of State announced on 6th July 2010 the revocation of Regional Spatial Strategies including the South East Plan.
