Anti-social Behaviour

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) can blight the lives of local residents and although not a large problem in Wealden, agencies work together to tackle it when it occurs through the Safer Wealden Partnership.

If you are experiencing ASB, in the first place you should contact Sussex Police, dial 101.

If you are a council tenant please speak to your housing officer: Contact my Housing Officer – Wealden District Council – Wealden District Council however, If there is an immediate threat to you or your property you must call the Police on 999.

The Community Trigger

Under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 a new process has been introduced for people who do not consider that any action has been taken to deal with their complaints about anti-social behaviour or hate crime. Further information can be found on our community trigger webpage.

Wealden District Council Estate Wardens

The Estate Wardens work throughout the district for Wealden’s Housing Service. They are there to maintain community safety for residents on Council housing estates through visible patrols. The Wardens are involved with such issues as anti-social behaviour, abandoned cars, vandalism, fly tipping and graffiti. They help to raise residents’ awareness of crime and security. They work closely with the Police to help improve the environment and security of Wealden’s Housing Estates.
