Draft Housing Strategy 2014-16
Status: Closed
The Council’s current Housing Strategy has now expired and we are consulting on a Draft Housing Strategy for 2014-16. This strategy will be reviewed in one year’s time and updated in line with the Corporate Plan priorities and having regard to any political changes both nationally and locally as a result of the 2015 elections. It will also allow us time to assess the impact of the changes around welfare reform, the Localism Act and other national changes.

Key findings and changes made:
The results of the consultation demonstrated overall support for the strategic objectives, with an average 83% of respondents (17 out of 21) agreeing with the three objectives. The strategy contains a number of principles that underpin the strategic objectives. 87% of respondents agree or strongly agree with these principles. 71% of respondents considered the strategy clear and easy to understand, with 81% stating the strategy is well laid out.
