HACKNEY CARRIAGE FARES

The Council proposes to set maximum fares for Hackney Carriages on or after 9 May 2022, as set out below:
Between the hours of 06:00 and 23:59 except Christmas and New Year’s Eve (from 18:00 to 23:59 only), Bank Holidays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, New Years Day
Any distance up to 76.5 yards: £3.10
Each additional 76.5 yards: 10p*
*For vehicles licenced to carry 5 or more:
Each additional 76.5 yards: 15p
00:00 to 05:59 and on Bank Holidays, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day :
Any distance up to 76.5 yards: £4.20
Each additional 76.5 yards: 15p*
*For vehicles licenced to carry 5 or more:
Each additional 76.5 yards: 25p
Christmas Eve, New Years Eve (from 18:00 to 23:59 only) and Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day :
Any distance up to 76.5 yards: £5.50
Each additional 76.5 yards: 20p*
*For vehicles licenced to carry 5 or more:
Each additional 76.5 yards: 30p
Waiting time: 18 seconds per increment above.
Discretionary supplement for pre-booked journeys £5.00
Soiling charge: £55.00
This represents a ten percent increase in fares.
