Reopening the high street – consumer confidence
Status: Closed
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) have awarded Council’s in England £50 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas. The Reopening High Streets Safely Fund (RHSS) will help Councils introduce a range of safety measures and supporting initiatives in a move to get people back to work and customers back to the shops.
We are interested in your views on how you have found returning to your local high street or shopping area since the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions were eased.
Your views will be used anonymously to help monitor the success of our Shop and Dine in Wealden campaign targeted at residents within Wealden. The campaign, which has been ongoing since October 2020 encourages residents and visitors to shop in their local high street and to reassure them it is safe to do so.
