Wealden District Council Proposed Car Parking Order 2014
Status: Closed
Wealden District Council’s current Off Street Car Parking Order (regulations affecting the running of car parks) dates from 1990 and although it has served the Council well it has come to the end of its useful life. Changes in Wealden’s infrastructure and environment have had a major affect on parking, especially within the main towns. As a result a decision to produce a new Off Street Car Parking Order was made to reflect changes in parking requirements and demands and to provide flexibility to reflect local circumstances and needs.
The proposed changes follow consultation with the Chambers of Commerce, Department of Transport, East Sussex County Council, Voluntary Associations and Town/Parish Councils.
The draft Off Street Car Parking Order can be found on the Car Parking section of this website. Hard copy versions are also available at the Council offices in Vicarage Lane, the main libraries in the district and Town and Parish Council offices.
Constructive views on the proposed Off Street Car Parking Order 2014 are invited via email or written letter.
