Empty Homes Review

In support of the government’s initiative to tackle the shortfall in national housing, CapacityGrid  is currently undertaking a review of homes registered as empty on behalf of Wealden District Council.

In addition to meeting housing needs, bringing empty homes back into use can bring benefits to communities and owners by reducing the risk of anti-social behaviour such as burglary, squatting and fly tipping which are commonly associated with empty properties.

If you have received a letter providing you with a pass code and property reference number, please update the records for the property using the online empty homes review questionnaire .

By completing the online form you will be entering details on CapacityGrid’s website however your details will not be used for any purpose other than for the Empty Homes Review.

If you need any help completing the form, please telephone 0300 3032076.

If your property has recently become occupied or the status of the property is due to change, please let us know using the contact details below so that we don’t contact you unnecessarily.

There are undoubtedly occasions where properties will require a considerable amount of work in order to develop them into a habitable condition, or to bring them up to the Decent Homes standard.
