In order to maintain good and consistent standards of communal areas in flats the Council provides communal window cleaning in all flats with communal areas (including sheltered flats).
The cleaning of communal areas is the responsibility of all tenants, however in all sheltered schemes and some other flats with communal areas a cleaning service is provided.
Tenants receiving communal cleaning and/or communal window cleaning are charged for these services through a service charge on their rent.
