The Digital Services team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to receive, record, investigate and resolve requests for technical Support for our staff and Councillors. The duties will require you to be committed to providing high levels of customer service via phone, email and in person with also a proven technical aptitude and the ability to solve problems.

This is a varied role with duties including the installation, configuration, upgrade and support of all IT equipment across the Council remotely and on site. You will also be expected to support software products within the organisation and the building of laptops; configuring mobile devices\phones, servicing printers, trouble-shooting and providing support for various IT systems.

You will need to demonstrate that you have sufficient skill to be able to troubleshoot issues with Windows 10, Apple iOS, Office 2016/Office 365 or above, as well as configure iPhones/iPads and resolve issues arising with them and support the Infrastructure and Business Team in deployment of any large projects or work programmes.

A minimum level of education to GCSE grade C in English or Maths or equivalent level gained through work experience.

The service desk operates from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and you will be required to participate in a rota providing cover between these hours.

Occasional working out of normal office hours will be required, for which overtime is payable.
