Would you like an opportunity to join the Councils Investigations team to help protect the Public Purse and reduce both internal and external fraud?

Who?

Investigations is part of the Audit & Investigations team and through close working with the Internal Auditors helps in the establishment of a sound control environment through the implementation and promotion of good Governance within Wealden.

 

What will you be doing?

Under the supervision of the Investigations Manager you will be responsible for monitoring telephone calls and e-mails on behalf of the team, including websites reporting alleged fraud.  You will be required to assist with internal or fraud Hub data matching projects, keeping the case management system up to date, maintaining fraud statistics and accurately transcribing notes of recorded investigation interviews.

What do you need?

Experience of dealing with customers/members of the public and the use of document management systems is essential, as well as strong organisational skills and attention to detail.  A good understanding of Data Protection and Freedom of Information issues is also essential.
