Hours: 37 per week (open to Job Share)

Location: Based Hailsham, East Sussex and homeworking

We are looking for two Technical Support Assistants to work in our busy Building Control department to provide admin and clerical support to our Surveyors in the East Sussex Building Control Partnership. In addition to booking site inspection visits and dealing with telephone, email and postal enquiries you will be required to run various reports, produce invoices and record, register and validate Building Regulations applications and issue decision notices.

You will need to work collaboratively and positively with team members and other departmental colleagues to identify improvements in working practices, customer service initiatives and assist in the continued drive to digital practices.

In addition to previous experience of working within a busy office environment, preferably in Planning or Building Control, you will have good keyboard and IT skills, be able to effectively manage multiple tasks, together with excellent communication and customer service skills and have a good standard of education (GCSE level or equivalent preferred). Experience of working to targets (KPIs) would be desirable but not essential. This role involves regular telephone contact with the public, requiring fluent spoken English.
