Public Health England – advice on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We have received a number of enquiries from residents concerned about Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Whilst officers at the Council are taking the necessary precautionary steps to prepare and protect residents and the delivery of Council services, Public Health England (PHE) are leading the UK response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
PHE have published guidance on the virus and action to contain it which can be found on the PHE website (external link)
The PHE blog contains a wealth of regularly updated information, including advice on travel, public events, and self-isolation.

Given Public Health England’s role and the need for a consistent approach across the UK, Wealden will not be issuing any guidance of its own, but we continue to monitor the situation and are well prepared for any change in circumstance directly affecting the Wealden District.
